Speculation and theories are good, but not good enough for us.

Since early 2025, the internet and social space have been flooded with global news from several studies about how Gen Z  is drinking less than previous generations. Naturally, everyone had an opinion about it. Is it true in Nigeria? Are Nigerian Gen Z similar to their western counterparts? And if they’re not drinking, what are they doing instead?

We left those debates to the comment section. Instead, we spoke to over 1,000 Gen Zs across the country and hosted multiple focus groups. Now, we have an informed opinion.

the art of shooting your shots

A while back, we set out to understand the first stage of love, including the timing, places, and where it makes the most sense to shoot your shot. So we spoke to over a thousand young Nigerians. Here’s what they had to say, which we’ve now shared back with them.

Beyond the glitz and glam

The AMVCA is often seen as a celebration of glitz, glamour, and awards. Yet beyond the spotlight lies a thriving economic engine. This report by the X3M Strategy Team uncovers and quantifies the interconnected economies, spending, and opportunities the 2026 AMVCA generates across Nigeria’s creative ecosystem.

We share intelligence and informed opinion across broad subject matter from pop culture, ads, behavioural sciences and whatever’s popping that’s actually worth nothing on our bite-sized podcast channel.
